ART IN PRATO
Italo
Gamberini designed the Museo d'Arte Contemporanea di Prato which
was inaugurated in 1988 and is a very modern building which
houses the Centro per l'arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci. The
permanent collection features works by Italian and international
artists, while the temporary expositions intend to launch the
Tuscan art in the world. The centre carries out information
programs and research activities and features a specialised
library. It also organises meetings, shows, movie projections
and concerts, which makes it the leading culture centre in Prato. |
