and find real bargains. If you prefer not to leave the charming
streets of the centre, there are many occasions to shop in the
artisan workshops. Prato, though being an industrial centre,
has not lost its characteristic handicraft workshops, where
artisans have made works in wood, iron, clay, glass or precious
stones since ancient times. The area around Montalbano, south
of the Province of Prato, gives you the possibility to buy wine
and good olive oil, handicraft and typical items right from
the farms. |
